IT IS KLAR.
Sometimes I wonder what kind of serious disease befalls those common men who find themselves thrown into the shark-basin of politics. Or publicity. Whatever.
But who ever looks at republican politics now must get a feeling of plain horror. OK, maybe he is an ex-terrorist. And maybe he should have been somewhat more decent. But who on earth thought that a terrorist even at the high age of 55 years renounces his views?
It’s not only, that what he stated could have come from the pope or from Oskar or from anyone left from Beckstein. It is simply about applying double standards on someone who already is jailed and thus is far more easy to condemn than a ordinary citizen with his proverbial clean slate. Klar killed people for his ideals and maybe this is not a very nice way to use one’s guaranteed right on free opinion. But the RAF was killing people who at least had to account for the consequences of their actions. Politicians have bodyguards because of this. He was not killing just someone.
Now he accepted the fact that killing people was the worst idea he could have. But why should he change his opinion. Who in god’s name said, that the the members of the RAF were jailed for their opinion? Oh, of course. Stoiber. Our great lawyer. I forgot.

ULYSSES USED BOINC.
ClimatePrediction is a program, which like SETI uses the Boinc software to predict the climate in 21st century. Distributed computing is quite a cool invention and we should honor the developers at Berkley for their work. At least, as long as no one forces us to participate…
But it’s really bullshit if your computer works on high speed at climate prediction or some search for nonexistent extra-terrestrial intelligence while you really have to hit the deadline.
Which was, what must have happened to some Italian since he looked in his process table and found boinc.exe at work, saving the world without his approval.

- Erotikchat
Another view. Eroticchats have a quite nutty image. Nevertheless they have their funny aspects.

KPDSUSA.
Stoiber claims to be from Bavaria. He also claimed to be the right candidate to become chancelor.
I suppose you get some lessons on history before you are allowed to occupy the big black leather chair. But I am almost certain, that Stoiber missed them somehow. Or did the Cold War end with a union of both blocks?

THOMPSON DAY.
Today is Thompson Day. Hunter S. Thompson Day. More precisely it’s the second anniversary of his death. I’m just what you generally call a fan. I mean, just someone who read Thompson after he saw ‘Fear and Loathing’ and found that Gonzo really tops them all.
Real nerds will tell you, that ‘Fear and Loathing’ is a horrible film, missing most of the essential parts of the original and all in all Jonny Depp never can suit Thompson. For all those, the other’s who never saw or read Thompson and for me there is a substitute: Where the buffalo roam.

MOVE.
I moved. To WordPress. Hey, yeah, I know WordPress is the most ordinary, boring and unfreakyshest way to do a blog. But hey, it’s simple. And I must admit: you can do more with their layouts than one might think. I am on the verge of saying, WordPress is the Mac of Blogs, but… nah, that would mean that those guys would stop copying and inventing some own ideas.
Nevertheless, they are very good at merging existing ones and fifteen bucks a year isn’t to much.
Yeap. I admit. I started paying for things. Nothing I am very proud of, but the times of second rate things are over. As for blogger, as for me. And since there where some rumors about google making its users paying of for all those fabulous services even in real stuff, I thought that sometimes a change could set free some new creativity.
The design by the way is quite Hemmingwayesque still, although the theme I picked is named ‘White as Milk’. The Hemmingway one looked quite kool but would not work with my del.ico.us bookmarks so I sacked it. There will follow something more opulent. In time.
